One very unique feature about Redlasso is that we actually support and carry the closed captioning content within nearly all of our TV Clips. This has some obvious search benefits, but let’s remember the reason Closed Captioning exists in the frist place. We are thrilled about the positive reaction we have been getting from people with hearing loss. We’re very happy to know that word is spreading within the community and that this serves as a very practical service for those who need this most.

I would also like to thank Bill Creswell for blogging about this feature here. He has a very interesting blog, “Bill Creswell - Captioning the Internet One Video at a Time”. It’s probably one of the most complete Closed Captioning resources I’ve ever seen, with tips about everything from the best captioned movies, TV, and internet sites / services available.

Here are some additional tips for you regarding our closed captioning features. To turn on and off the Closed Caption display in our player, just click the “CC” logo in the top right corner of our player. (You can try this in any of the clips below this post). There is also a cool new feature for our registered members. When you select a clip to play on the site, to the right of the player you will notice an “interactive caption” box. This will allow you to scroll and copy the closed caption content for easy quoting within your blog, plus, you can actually click on the words to jump to the different parts of the clip.
